What’s up with the name?

Why We’re Called Evil Industry (And Why We’re Not)

When people first hear the name Evil Industry Publishing, they usually do a double take. And that’s exactly the point.

The name is an ironic jab at what the music industry has become for many artists: a maze of gatekeepers, vague contracts, and vanishing royalties. We’ve watched too many talented creators get caught in systems designed to confuse, delay, and drain them. So we flipped the narrative.

Evil Industry is not of the industry — it’s a rebellion against it.

We fight for transparency, direct payments, artist control, and honest administration. We don’t hide behind layers of sub-publishers or funnel your money through five different companies. We don’t want your masters. We don’t make you sign away your rights for exposure. And we don’t pretend to be “indie” while answering to a major behind the curtain.

The truth is, what most people call “the industry” is what’s really evil.
We just named it.
